Successes of the Tarot in finding my new life path, and a new relationship partner.

fairy princess bringing the spells of love and success with the tarot?
Fairy princess spells, and a new life.
Tarot Spells - Fact Or Fiction ?  Spells, meditation, affirmations, and expectation.

Does the reading of the Tarot help in any way to predict your success in life or romance?

Well surprisingly it does have a positive effect. Should you read upon it, then dismiss it, probably not much.

Yet to clear the mind of the daily pressures with a desire to find an answer, a good reading will bring you to considering a changed pathway.

As you have the symbols brought to you; if they are re-associated or linked with a past known event or impression - then your mind and consideration is brought to a future expectation. One would hope you will put the effort in to progressively adapt yourself, to bring that expectation to some sort of reality.
Thus the secrets are revealed. Read the paragraph above again, and take notes to establish the simple methods of success.

Meditative commands or interceptions, work because of the way you have been taught as a child in school - similar methods of a perceived authority figure, quietness,(isolation from distractions), exposure, linking, absorption, then reconsideration.

Another word form the same process is a spell. They are extremely powerful because of the above, should you consider their frame. They are one easy way of helping you on the way to a life you desire.

Sometimes, even if you do not see or show what you really feel, the universe always knows and it only presents you what it knows is best for you. If you view life like this, you will be able to handle any event or 'issue.'

Can you get your ex back with the Tarot? On one hand it is possible to get an ex back with the help of a love spell, however, there are certain catches to it.

  • The first possibility is for you to get exactly what you want; this is the most ideal possibility that any person can dream of.
  • The second possibility is for you to not get what you want because this is not exactly what has to happen for you.
  • And thirdly, there is also a chance that a completely different person will come into your life.
This is actually a good thing most of the time because the universe has already determined that you have asked for someone not suitable for you, and thus has found the one who is.

It is important that should you do these powerful love spells, you keep an objective and open mind about it so that you will not miss what the universe is actually trying to tell you. And be open to all three possibilities.

Some of the things you learn in schooling or church are of little use to you now - but remember the method they used, and use it for yourself to get what you want.

Again meditative commands or interceptions, work because of the way you have been taught as a child in school - similar methods of a perceived authority figure, quietness,(isolation from distractions), exposure, linking, absorption, then reconsideration.

The Tarot helps - use it; - used as it is meant to be, it is another tool in your magic chest for getting what you want in life. It does make it easier for you.

Why does everyone else seem to be happy? What is their secret?

Finding happiness within our child self
A youthful happiness for us.
Finding your Happiness, is it even possible?

Picture the child at the playground, or the party, - with bags of lollies or nice clothes. She or he is surrounded by toys, doting parents, and other happy kids.

Yet, although their world appears to be exactly as they’d want it, they are sobbing in apparent distress.

A dramatic representation for sure, yet many of us are not all that different from the little boy or girl on the playground. Many of us are going about, or seeing happiness distinctly wrong.

Despite what we may believe,or are told, we are not really seeking our own happiness at all. We at times don’t know ourselves well enough to figure out what we actually want. We conform to the ideas and ideals of our society, our family, and other influences, that sway our own point of view.

Unless we are careful, we spend our lives repeating patterns and filling other's prescriptions from our past, that don’t serve us in the present, and we wind up seeking someone else’s idea of happiness for us.

There are many influences from our early environment that we internalize, repeat or adapt to.
For example, a narcissistic parent who acted superior and domineering. Perhaps, she boasted about herself, while putting you down or disregarding you completely. Growing up, you may take on her point of view toward yourself.
You will have mean thoughts or “critical inner voices” that tell you you’re inferior or that you are insignificant and only take up space.

You'll also run the risk of repeating the negative traits of your parent, in which case, you’ll notice having your own thoughts or feelings of superiority or entitlement.

Maybe you’ll act out the same condescending, critical attitudes toward your children, or your partner/s, or sidestep confrontation, to retreat into your self and avoid standing out.

These adaptations will have made you feel safe in your childhood, but these same traits will be hurting you and holding you back as an adult.

To achieve true happiness, we have to drop the baggage from our past, and resist any urge to play the victim role that others prefer us in.
When we acknowledge our own ability to choose, and thence our own power, we have a much stronger sense of resilience and can better handle life.

Happiness involves maturity, knowing we that can’t control others, only ourselves.
Being parental toward those around us keeps us from focusing on changes we can make for ourselves. On the other side, being childish and allowing others to control us, again, undermines our power and potential.

Overall, contentment or happiness doesn’t come from filling our days with fun things. Thrill-seeking and instant gratifications don’t work for too long, as we become numb to them, or tired of the efforts as they fail to fulfill us on a deeper level.
To find and lead a life that has particular meaning to us, we can feel more satisfied and joyful.

Happiness means being willing to evolve. We are most alive when we plan and expand and try new things. Happiness means maintaining your interest in new and lively choices that will keep the spark inside you alive.

When we look at these principles, we quickly realize that seeking happiness isn’t selfish. When we are authentic, happy and fulfilled individuals, we are far better for the people around us and for society at large.
We are better parents, better partners, better bosses, co-workers, friends and citizens. As we follow the path we have carved for ourselves, we can still expect old influences to seep in and critical inner voices to flood our heads.

It is up to us to satisfy, and answer those thoughts to some degree, thus freeing us, and allowing our release from their hold.

We then become the designers of our happiness, and begin to lead a fulfilling life.

I'm lonely, - how do I get the Love others have? part 10 - love spells bringing you success.

Creating your own reality by design
Creating your own reality by design.
Part 10, of the simple 10 steps to go from lonely to being in love.

Step 10: Love Spells

We are still in the esoteric mode - just stay with it - the poems and the associations have a sound and effective basis.

Now you can cast your spell.

Do Yesterday’s Exercise first-

Yesterday’s exercise: Look over your list again. Do you think it is right, or are there changes to make?

Make whatever changes you think are necessary before you cast your spell. This will help you be definite when you make your spell, and it will assure that what you think you want is what you really want.

Now we go to work;- well fun really.

There are 'love spells' for you, no matter what your ideas: Christian, New Age, Heathen, Wiccan, metaphysician, etc. A few samples.are here to start you on the road.

Each tradition usually has its own set of love spells for you to use.

Now cast your spell!

Metaphysical Style Type Spoken Spell

There is One Mind, One principle, One Universal Soul, One Love, and I am one with that One.
I am now connected with the Universal Love of the One, and through my word I am sending it forth now.
The great Love, guided by the All-Knowing Mind, is now seeking and finding companions for me. The power knows the right ones for me. It knows where they are, and I let it work to bring them to me.
This One great power is now attracting to me my rightful friends/companion. It is drawing them to me, and they will be seen in good order.
I know that the power is working for me, and I give thanks that new friends (companion) are in my life. So it is!

Heathen Spoken Spell

Three ladies danced across the land

                                        Bringing love into my hand:
The first called him [or, her]
                                                      The second brought him,
                                         The third bound us together.
                                                    Whatever the weather.

Candle Spell

Use a green or pink candle with an easy appropriate incense (Jasmine, Apple or your favourite new one). Get a small, inexpensive figurine of a cat. It can be as tiny as you wish. Start the spell normally. If Pagan, invoke a deity related to Love. As a key point of your spell, place the figurine beside the candle. Speak the following charm:

Kitten, kitten, hark to me,
A lover (friends) I would have, you see.
Look and find that one for me
Bring him (her) to me, so will it be!

Christian prayer.

Oh Lord, I ask for your forgiveness for all my sins, and now pray to you to help me become one with you.
As I get better, I know you will guide the right people to me, so we can continue in our path together in Christ.
As I let you bring them to me, my faith will let me determine those who are a joy to our journey.
I thank you Oh Lord,
Amen.

You can make your own - in fact to have a 2-4 line saying you have created for you - is the ultimate 'spell' to quickly and easily get that you have planned for yourself.

It has to be positive - I used to say 'I'm not having that', which is a good standards determination.
But my success immediately improved, and remarkably once I sat down for a while and came up with a 2 line rote which I internalized - that was a possibility re-frame.

1:

Yesterday’s exercise: Look over your list again. Do you think it is right, or are there changes to make? Make whatever changes you think are necessary before you cast your spell. This will help you be definite when you make your spell, and it will assure that what you think you want is what you really want.

2:

Meditation: See yourself stepping out into the world, glowing with brilliance. Imagine yourself as confident, lovable, and happy. Know that as this energy radiates from you, it brings you more of the good companionship you seek. Know that your inner lovability is now working for you, and that you deserve all the good you desire.

3:

Exercise:You can buy or make a love charm, either to carry or to place. Get one posted from Amazon, or go to the local dollar store. It does-not have to be expensive -much like the cat figurine for the  new age candle prayer, it is a talisman or symbol. Re-read the silver spoon post here.
If you can, make something, or a 2 or 3 of them, the process, meditation, and thinking while making will work wonders.
Put the charm were you see it each morning and night -if not carried with you if small.

If a personal relationship turns to an unwanted one- revise, and bring out the talisman again.

Thought for the Day:  I am ready to go forward, confident that I am lovable. I will attract the people who make me happy, and who are happy with me.

PS:-Note again how this also works for success in anything.

The final steps in one easy place - tomorrow...

Your and my right to a better life. Poverty is an indoctrination of control and fear

looking for a better future before it is too late
Poverty is in no way - a virtue
Strong words - yet very true. We do have a right to a better life.

Often we do not fully address the issue of the quality of life available to us. Instead, positioning ourselves as we are directed, by those we listen to.

It is now time to change that for you.

There are a lot techniques, tools and even prayers, and spells; to get money, healing, love, and all those things we want in life. They are important, yet there are primary steps to make it easier.

Mostly the quality of our lives is an expression of our minds. What we habitually think, question, and believe shows in our experience of the world.  By changing our thought and our habitual actions/reactions, we can change the quality of our lives, and the results we get.

This does take more than a few prayers or meditations. It requires choosing, and a desire to change for the better, with implementing the actions.
Of course, learning what works the best way as you go along, and doing those new ways.

Many people wish for a better life. Yet to get to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you have to get it physically somehow first. Quality living only really comes, and stays with, people of quality. Many who want a better life are people who need to work as becoming quality persons.

This can be done easily, with excellent results. The payoff is quality of life that endures for the rest of your life.

Abundance begins in our minds.

One of the most promoted beliefs in our world, is that poverty is virtuous, while prosperity is 'sin.'  It is not only a myth, but a deceitful falsehood.
This introduced belief has kept millions from enjoying prosperity. It allows misery, sickness, degeneracy and victimization, and is behind much of our world’s needless suffering.

Where there is lack, there is disease, accident, crime, control, and despair for some. When there is plenty, and it is allowed- there is health, safety, peace and optimism.

You can learn to have an abundance of good in your life.

You will not have to work as hard or as long as you thought. A person who has a prosperous mind will find the work that she or he enjoys. They will enjoy their well-being without becoming a slave.

The myth of virtuous poverty is used by anyone hoping to appeal to the common trend. The rich do indeed prefer to be an exclusive minority. When a guru, prophet, or journalist/author wants to play to the masses, flattery helps. What better way than to tell the poor that they are virtuous while the rich were sinful?  Governments and administrations do use the same stunt to placate the mass of the people.

The current myth about virtuous poverty depends heavily on the middle eastern tales of Jesus.  Because Christianity dominated Europe in the Middle Ages, its mythology has had a tremendous effect on Western culture.  Yet - Pagans, Heathens, Christians of all forms; it makes little difference really.

Poverty is in no way a virtue. Care and good management of your life and wealth is. Poverty is a breeding ground of misery and criminality, or at the very least the criminal's desire to have for themselves;- using their 'skills' as is. Poverty breeds misery; misery leads to despair, and despair brings out the worst in people.

One of the necessities of Prosperity is to stop serving the poverty idea to your mind. It will bring almost an immediate change for you. It is OK for you to have.

One technique for focusing the mind is the use of repeated statements. However, the affirmation is not a complete cure.

The trick is to get your affirmation to be accepted subconsciously, and with ease. Many of the New thought schools teach that if you ram home an idea, the subconscious will work to make it come true.

This is a great system for them, and can work if it is done often enough.(Note the time/money quotient, and where it is swayed to.)

The gurus will use an absolute statement, such as “I am wealthy.” They love that “I am”, and they promote the idea that if a person repeats it enough, the subconscious will accept it and make it come true. Actually the more a poor thinking person persists, the more their internal censor resists. It is not unusual for a person to be worse off because of the strong desire for an equilibrium.

The trick is to work gradually.  Instead of saying 'I am wealthy', you can say 'What can I do to be wealthy?....What do I change for me?'

Be aware that affirmations are a small part of the process. They get you started. A prosperity mentality does not come just because you repeated statements.  There is other work to be done.

Another help is a focused meditation.  A simple one is to meditate and image a symbol of wealth.
Go to the silver spoon post.- Imagine that this symbol is emanating energy. The energy looks like a light, and focus the light to yourself. Think that this power is now filling me.  I let it draw me to prosperity.  I let is flow outward and draw prosperity to me….” Use your own words.  After a few minutes, end the meditation.  Let the image of the symbol fade, as you become aware of the actual world.

What the meditation does, is that it helps focus your mind and create an atmosphere conducive to prosperity.

There is a personality to which prosperity is drawn, and there is a personality that repels prosperity.

The key is to eliminate the poor traits and replace them with prosperous ones.

A noticeable difference between prosperous and poor people is behavior. Rather than being a person who is rude, profane and filthy, start being clean, dignified and courteous. Your value to yourself and others will be higher, with better results.

Here are things you must do

Be clean and neat, an easy to start with discipline that changes your view on life, and others view of you. Look to your hygiene and appearance, and bath regularly and brush your teeth.Look after your clothes, and footwear. The same goes for your home space, and vehicles.Be a little clean and tidy.

Properly wealthy people show manners. Do add 'please, and thank you' to your vocabulary. Show courtesy without being subservient or noxious. Conduct yourself appropriately, in each setting. That includes your language, no vulgarity is good. A civil way of speaking invites others to listen to you.

Luck, and opportunity favours people of dignified disposition and clean appearance.

Make yourself valuable

Wealth favors people who have something to offer. By the same token, it evades those who are indolent and wasteful.

There is a probability that you are more valuable than you might think. Even if that is not so, you can make yourself more valuable. By learning skills and gaining knowledge you become more useful and thus have better prospects for prosperity.

Make a list of your talents and abilities, where you want to go, and what steps you will take to increase your value.

How do you or I find a support group you can trust?

finding a group that supports you

Not all support groups are alike

Certain beliefs and customs unite, as do the rewards of ego importance and money.

Most are hierarchical, some democratic, and some in between.

Some groups have "ordained clergy"- or the authority, and others do not.

Some large national groups offer memberships to individuals, or franchises to those running their divisions.

If you get the impression that it is a business model - you are right. Whatever name is given, support comes from someone somewhere.

How to Avoid the Wrong sort of Groups

There are many wonderful groups out there which encourage fellowship and growth in their members.

There are also some that are little more than a power-trip for some self-appointed "leader," or their minions with a personal agenda. The later kind survive largely by attracting naive and impressionable new members. The following tips may help you.

Don't confuse an organization within a religion with the religion itself.

The Catholic or any other Church is not "Christianity". You can quit the Catholic Church and become a Baptist or another denomination, and still be Christian, and be OK.

You really don't need to join anything or profess in any sort of formal ceremony to be of a belief.

Before joining a group, ask questions about why a group holds a particular belief, or how it continues to fund itself.

Don't assume that just because someone has a fancy title, or presents well they know what they're talking about, and certainly don't assume that they are trustworthy. The most foolish of humans will use titles to lend themselves legitimacy, and importance.
Think of your most un-favourite banker or politician.

Avoid any group that pressures you to formally join before you're ready to make that decision on your own. They are showing you, that they need you more than you need them. You must maintain, or quickly develop the impression you are not their prey. it doesn't stop you needing them, or using or supporting their values if you agree with them.

Take it slow, don't take a life-long oath to a large organization! Think about it for a minute. If you take an oath to an individual, that person is directly accountable to you, whereas an organization is not accountable for its actions.

Sadly that is a major organizational methodology - work, courts, churches,  gangs, etc, etc, etc.

High ranking members can and will pass the buck down to the weakest, and avoid responsibility for decisions made by "the group"

How to Make Initial Contact

Firstly, compartment your life, not every person can be trusted with all facets of your life. Your body, your money, your physical health, your emotional life, your car, your pets. your partner, assets, and so on. You get the picture, every other person has one or more weaknesses.

If you can watch for a while. Notice who is saying what and whether you agree with their general philosophy. Some will reveal themselves as on an ego-trip, or in more need  than you.

Talk or write privately to the people you respect, and ask for their recommendations for local or national groups. Get several opinions, with specific questions.
If most of the people you respect point you in the same direction, you've probably found a group worth trying.
Chat to a representative of that group. and explain who recommended them and why you are interested in joining. If they sound OK, after a couple of times, the group might be worth attending until your needs are met,

The year of the sheep - February - a marketing plan - or something more ?

the flock of sheep representing a flock of people
Western 'civilization' often grasps the ideas of another to promote its aims.

The year of the sheep, a Chinese zodiac event. No doubt will be used to influence your behavior.

The sheep is portrayed as a gentle, meek being who cheerfully follows the leader.

Whether this message is from your favorite(or not) politician, or priest of the time, or the business leader, or other influencer.

The pattern you must grasp is that someone else who benefits from your activity, is encouraging a subservient attitude - by the use of an allegory- (a simply understood story with associations with an influential theme).

The following celebrities were born in the Year of the Sheep ; (Wikipedia)

Michelangelo, Mark Twain, Thomas Alva Edison, Rudolph Valentino, Rachel Carson, Pierre Trudeau, Barbara Walters, Orville Wright, Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts, Amy Lee, Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Claire Danes, Jamie Lynn Spears, Matt LeBlanc, Chow Yun-Fat, Zhang Ziyi, Li Shimin (Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty 618 – 907), Cao Cao (King of Wei in China’s Three Kingdoms Period 220 - 280), Yue Fei (a patriotic general in China’s South Song Dynasty 1127 - 1279),and more.

Naturally, other associations, - to assist in the propaganda, will be drawn too- how good wool is (some is, some is not) how nutritious as food it is now- as a new discovery.
The joyfulness of sheep's milk/cheese/butter/ anything you desire in fact. All truthful in varying degrees.

Your perceptions and the promotion of these are the key.

Luckily for you. the sheep only sometimes fits its caricature, of meekness, a follower, and of lesser thinking.

Some breeds pretty well do; some do not. Apart from seeking food, they are a mischievous and curious animal, maintaining a high awareness of their environment.
Keen to be in a small group for safety, the rams will exert their dominance against you, or anything they can.

The choice is yours, are you an independent feisty sheep? or a docile one being bred for someones dinner table, or shorn seasonally to clothe them.

Originally you were a feisty and relatively independent breed, now is the time to run with that thought.

This is your mission.

Money can and does buy happiness and contentment - no matter what your leader tells you

A meeting of successful minds by thorinus.blogspot.com
A meeting of successful minds
It, as well as an artificial - or real depending on your circumstances - pressure, is a resource used as a token of exchange in a hierarchical society.

In Roman times we had Caesar and his associates, then the progression of kings, queens, lords with their hangers on, and today much the same.

With an elevation of status (above you - it seems) of royalty and their ministers, priestesses, priests and gurus of types - the magic system continues.

So the reality of the system is that money is important; - and as a means of exchange. By not having access to an amount (note the ability to extract a tithe or tax by the above mentioned), you are placed as a heretic, an outcast in society.

The power for you is in the marshaling of the resources - whether others use it for good or bad, it is up to you to use it as you see good.

There will always be froth at the top of the good, there will always be the the worst of society employed by large organizations - the inadequate persons of life both gravitate to - and are taught to belong there.

It is important for you, to put aside both that thought, and somehow that the use of, or your control of this resource stream is not for you - it must be, for you to survive, and do well. You alone know what is best for you.

Expectations are why one person can be poor but still proud, independent, and reasonably content while the guy or gal next door is merely content to slide into a swamp of misery, blame, and dependence.

The power for you is in the marshaling of the resources - whether others use it for good or bad, it is up to you to use it as you see good.

If we feel we can make important decisions about our lives and carry them out, we're more likely to be happy in ourselves.

Even people who've been rendered poor by disasters, theft, financial mistakes, or abuse are better off when they can think, "Well, maybe I put myself here and maybe I didn't. But in any case, I can now choose how to respond to the situation I'm in." We always have that choice given time. We can use our appreciation of the situation to act in our best benefit.
To dramatize the negative is a deceit used in the bag of power tricks – by making someone powerless, the rescuer/persecutor in fact now is rewarded - money or ego.

If a "poor" person who has chosen material poverty for religious reasons, to pursue adventure, to live a simple life, or to avoid paying high taxes may actually feel they have more and better choices because of their lack of .
Conversely, a well-off person who yielded to a pressure to become a lawyer, or marry the "right" spouse, or pay a big mortgage in a country-club neighborhood may feel eventually trapped.
Expectations – generally our own -for ourselves, either to fit in or be accepted - ultimately dictate our happiness or contentment in our life.

The genetic theory of happiness, is a very minor factor; as an example – if you were to walk a path through a small unformed grass track daily – it will change to be formed. And the natural way.
So you can teach yourself to react/respond in the way best for you by beginning and continuing until it becomes natural for you.
It is like saying women are better than men, or blacks better than whites.
The physical attributes are in fact different - the power is in the using. The thinking (success) patterns can be formed.

Think of a happiness set point as being like a thermostat. If your happiness is "set" to the equivalent of 16 (60 F) degrees, then you may sometimes be "warmer" and sometimes "cooler," but you'll always return to that setting.
If your set point is 22 (72 F), then you'll still have ups and downs, but you'll always return to a "warmer" state of happiness.

But we also have the ability to change the settings on our personal "thermostats." If you were born with a low set point, you can choose to be able to raise it.

So -your thinking what does happiness and contentment have to do with money? Well as before - put aside that the sky is falling in - the country/people/world you live in is not at your expectation level.

It is a good and noble pursuit for you to be passionate about - only those you wish to control you for their own reasons of fear, or power secondly;- will try to teach you to believe otherwise.

Having the home team advantage and using it for your benefit

Bright light art gallery setting the scene, from thorinus.blogspot.com
Creating your own advantage
How is it that you hear about people that make a complete reversal in their lives, and overnight become very successful, happy, and fulfilled beings.

Perhaps the reason this is so fascinating is that it happens so rarely. When it does happen, on the outside, the major life change is related to a career, location, mate, or some other important aspect of the person’s life. Inside them the progress has been going on unseen.

Making good decisions regarding these different areas of your life is an important factor in your success. In most sports, there is something called the home team advantage, which means that when a team is playing at home, it tends to perform much better than when they play away.
When a team is at home, it is where it practiced, and is encouraged. cheered. and is supported by the spectators, whereas visiting teams are often booed.

Consider this explanation from Wikipedia:
'In most team sports where the concept of home and away stadiums is found, the home team is considered to have a significant advantage over the visitors. Due to this, many important games (such as playoff or elimination matches) in many sports have special rules for determining what match is played where.......'
The home team advantage is an important concept in sport, and it is a proven factor in how well teams do. If this concept applies to teams, how do you think you can apply it to everyday life?

When a team away from home scores a goal, people boo or do not make the team feel validated for its efforts. When the team away from home does something wrong, people may cheer.

The psychological message transmitted is that people only approve of the team away from home when they are doing poorly.

Your success in your career and in your life can be affected by whether you are living, working, and associating with which crowd.

What generally separates people who do not have all the gifted attributes of success is the sheer determination and self-belief inside of them.
Having heart and drive can make all the difference. If you are going to reach your full potential, you must possess heart and drive. This is something that wins, despite any uncontrollable obstacles that may arise.

Heart and drive can be killed, though, if they are not supported. The best thing you can do for yourself is to put yourself in a position where you are supported, where you have the home team advantage.

When you trace the cause of someone with a lot of potential falling behind in life, when you see sickness and ill health, when you find people not trying hard enough, when you see failure and despair, generally somewhere along the line you will find someone who has been negatively affected and otherwise discouraged by people somewhere along the way.

I am sure there are some people you know who seem to have problems all of the time: Things go wrong for the person wherever they go. They get in auto accidents; they accidentally break things; they have all sorts of health problems; they make stupid mistakes and get fired from jobs; people around them have all sorts of issues as well. I have known many people like this.
  • Have you ever known someone whose friends and associates are always getting sick? and/or
  • always having accidents?
  • getting into trouble?
  • in crisis?
  • having financial problems?
  • always losing their jobs?
  • always unhappy?
I have, and I urge you strongly to move away, from these people - you can support them - but at a physical or emotional distance.

The continuous stream of negative results and their reactions to it have become their identity.

You have the ability to set the stage, and determine the supporting cast in your own life.

If you are spending time with a person who is invalidating your efforts and your life, the odds are you will be negatively affected. Similarly, if you are around someone who is constantly validating you and giving you approval, you may benefit tremendously through your association with this person.

I have known of many people throughout the years who were closely connected with someone, whether it be a parent, friend, partner, or someone else.
The person they were connected with had a huge fear of the person leaving them, and therefore their personal interest was in keeping the person down, making sure that the person did not improve, or change, to such an extent that they could ever leave them.

A parent who does not want his or her child to go away from home show all sorts of illnesses to keep the child around and may also discourage any of their efforts at self-improvement. A parent who has the need to feel superior to his or her child may also keep the child down in subtle ways.

In personal relationships, a man or woman may discourage a mate from trying to get a better job, looking better, and so forth, for fear that this might lead to separation and abandonment.

This person might relay negative feedback about his or her partner’s accomplishments but hold back positive feedback or information that is likely to be helpful.

The objective of such people is to keep other people down. People can hold you back by direct means, and they can also do so through indirect means. For example, a friend or significant other who does not compliment or notice the positive things that you do, or who always finds fault in the positive things that you do, can have a very traumatic effect on you in the long run.

Making you self-conscious of your faults and always pointing these out can also be a seriously negative influence. Relating about nothing other than negativity, impossibility, and so forth can also have a very negative effect on you. If any of this sounds familiar to you, it is probably time to evaluate your relationships.

Remember of the home team advantage - you have the right and power to choose supporting players, an even playing field, and a space that is bright - that allows you to be in your best light.

Will Hagar save me ? Stereotypes of people and them matching what we expect of them

Hagar's re-constructors - Your life story as you choose it to be
Your life story as you choose it to be
Choose any well written story and its cast of characters as your own.

This is one of the ways of defining - or redefining your life.

Think back to your most remembered childhood story or cartoon, the one you remember the most.....

  • What does it do for you when you recall it in your mind?
  • What do you feel?
  • And.....
  • Think how does this shape my philosophy today?
  • How can I choose a better story?

Let's take a modern classic-

Hägar

And look at the characters -From wikipedia-

".......Hägar Horrible: the slovenly, overfed Viking protagonist. Hägar is both a fierce warrior and a family man—with the same problems as your average modern suburbanite. One running gag involves his exceptionally poor personal hygiene; for example, his annual bath -July 14- is a time of national rejoicing and celebrations. Another source of comedy is Hägar's simplistic, childlike cluelessness, often finding himself at odds with his more sensible family members. Much to Hägar's chagrin, on the few occasions where he behaves maturely (such as helping Helga in daily tasks or displaying self-control of his titanic appetite), the other characters are often caught off guard, since they are more accustomed with his bumbling and childish attitude. The most notable example was when Helga demanded that Hägar speak the truth at least one time, Hägar agrees and does so, something that pleasantly surprises even God himself, who promptly makes angels playing the trumpets in celebration of this "miracle".

Helga Horrible:Hägar's large-framed, bossy housewife, dressed in operatic, Brünnhilde - like blonde braids and helmet. She is the quintessential maternal "over-mothering" figure. Helga bickers with Hägar over his poor habits—such as forgetting to wash his hands after pillaging, or not wiping his feet before entering the hovel. She is often seen trying to teach her old-fashioned values to her daughter Honi, though Honi never truly "gets" it. Her formidable appearance is based on that of a Wagnerian Valkyrie.

Lucky Eddie: Hägar's first mate, best friend and lieutenant in Viking raids. Contrary to popular depictions of Vikings as brawny macho warriors, Eddie is a short, skinny, chinless, awkward and naïve weakling. The ironically-named "Lucky" Eddie is, in fact, so unlucky he can be crushed by a stray rainbow. He wears a funnel rather than a helmet on his head, which he always keeps on because he's afraid of squirrels. Unlike Hägar, Eddie is educated enough to be able to read and speak in other languages—though paradoxically this does not make him any more intelligent. Having been unconditionally known and accepted simply by his moniker of "Lucky Eddie," no one of Hägar's entourage, not even Hägar himself, ever knew Lucky Eddie's "real" name until around the late-1990s & early-2000s, when he was asked directly (by Hägar himself on both separate occasions) to share his true name: during the first inquiry Eddie squawked out an unpronounceable screed which left him raw-throated and winded; during the second inquiry, in which Eddie asked for Hägar's assurance that this revelation would be kept "in confidence," Eddie whispers his "real" name into Hägar's ear, upon hearing which Hägar accidentally blurts out what was shared with him in secret in a fit of uncontrollable laughter, thus inadvertently revealing that Lucky Eddie's real name is "Fortuitous Eduardo."

Hamlet Horrible: Hägar and Helga's intelligent, clean, obedient and studious young son—almost always seen reading a book. He shows no interest in becoming a Viking (he wants to be a dentist), which makes him the shame of the family to Hägar—though Helga and Honi are more tolerant and encourage his education. Even when Hägar forces him to practice his Viking skills, he's shown to be terrible at them. He is the victim of his would-be girlfriend Hernia's unrequited affection.

Honi Horrible:Hägar and Helga's beloved, beautiful, sweet, cheerful 16-year old daughter—dressed as a young Valkyrie with a winged helmet, metallic breastplate and a long skirt made of chainmail. Honi takes after Hägar's side of the family, a fact that her boyfriend Lute sometimes finds intimidating. She's a Viking warrior like her father, her weapons of choice are a spear and shield. However, she's clueless about traditional "girlish" things, and tends to be overdramatic. Helga is constantly trying to marry her off, as she's seen as an "old maid" in their backward community. She was romantically involved with Lute the balladeer from the very beginning, and is the only character that can endure his terrible singing.

Lute: an inept bard/minstrel/troubadour who can neither play, sing in tune nor rhyme properly, although Lute remains totally oblivious to everyone else's perception, and considers himself quite the talent. He is Honi's boyfriend, though Honi is in control of their relationship (similar to Helga and Hägar); they are perpetually engaged though they still haven't married. His name is in reference to the stringed instrument of the same name, which he is often seen playing (albeit poorly).

Hernia: a young, tomboyish girl deeply infatuated with the sensitive Hamlet, though her love is unrequited, often to her comically melodramatic dismay.

Snert: Hägar's dog; Snert is supposed to be a bird/hunting dog, but the reader gets the impression that most of the time he just doesn't feel like working. Snert understands everything Hägar tells him, but usually refuses to do what he's told. Sometimes Snert is depicted as having a "wife" and a couple of puppies, but they hardly play any role in the comic. Snert wears a (miniature) Viking helmet like everyone else in Hägar's household—including the pets. Snert barks with a Viking accent ("voof").

Kvack: the family's German duck. Kvack is Helga's friend and confidante—she will usually spy on Hägar and quack loudly whenever he does something he's not supposed to, such as having another hogshead of "Glögg[10]" or "Wiffleberry wine", Hägar's frequently-imbibed beverages. Obviously, Hägar doesn't like Kvack at all—and would like to get rid of her. Being a German duck, Kvack "quacks" with an accent.[11] Later in the strip, she brought home a litter of ducklings, which Helga "mothers" as if they were human grandchildren.

Dr. Zook: a cowled, druid-like "physician" who gives primarily nutritional and psychiatric advice, and is a notorious and dangerous quack. He always wears a hood that conceals his face except for his long nose which sticks out. On few occasions, however, his face has at least partially been seen.
Helga's Father: a geriatric Viking whose beard reaches the floor, with a taste for young women.
Helga's Mother: a stereotypically shrewish mother-in-law, with antlers on her helmet.
The Tax Collector: The King's officious emissary.
Mr. Giggles: a torturer who torments captives by forcible tickling.
Koya the Lawyer: an unpleasant but effective barrister.
The Executioner: often accompanies the Tax Collector.
Brother Olaf: a monk who unsuccessfully explains to Hägar the concept of sin

Other recurring minor characters include an unnamed psychic or soothsayer, whom Honi and Hägar regularly consult, a balding waiter at Helga's favorite restaurant "The King of England" and various Anglo-Saxon raiders who serve as Hägar's friends and rivals, such as Dirty Dirk and Mean Max.

Note;- the creation of the characters, and how in each one you see something in them.

What characters are you identifying with in your life?

Why?

How are they helping you to get what you want?

Here in the stories of Hägar - Dik and Chris Browne - the authors, have created these characters to get their message to you.

Now the secret's are-

1; you must begin to create your own cast of supporting characters, and thence your own life.

2; see people as they are, they will often act as you expect them to.

3; read your children, and yourself the stories with the characters that are the most
