Been betrayed - I have, and how to deal with it.

Betrayal what do I do - from Thorinus.blogspot.com
As I think about what has happened
Instead of feeling the safety expected in the situation, you seem to be suffering a huge emotional hit that brings forth the feelings of a loss of control.

(Which in fact is the other parties desirable result-you have lost control - they have it).

A trust implied or expected gets broken, and the strong emotions may arrive and get stuck.A feeling of being safe in your world is shaken.

The three R’s of rage, revenge and retaliation are often considered. Not the most immediately helpful choices.

Brain and body chemistry changes as you might go into a sympathetic nervous system response getting ready to fight or run. At times a person can get locked into this fight/flight energetic (captive- or in old english - stymied) state.

Instead of a trigger being created when events are similar-we must move past this.

Some people hold grudges as a defense against being hurt again.Good temporary protection-there are better ways. To keep on chewing on unhappy memories only leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. When you are disappointed about somebody- release those expectations and move past it rather than let a bitter attitude set in.

Not every person in the world is specifically out to get you.

Everyone has there own ways of meeting their equilibrium- and maybe or maybe not they can stay in your life space.
Some are good cooks, some are good with money, some are good at different things-allow them their specialty= and associate with those in different areas that work for both you and them.

People who tie their self-esteem to feeling superior, pride and self-righteousness are typically caught in a big energetic imbalance to their entire system. Many extremely angry people don’t have a way to release their dogmatic ways of thinking and acting.
The issue here is not about being right or wrong but in gaining peace of mind for you.

Anger is a natural human reaction, and is in fact empowering, both psychologically and in body chemistry.

Many people choose THC-cannabis, alcohol. or other sedatives to relieve  the intensity of the frustration. Or abandon themselves into a safe world of TV or the internet.
All the legal ones are good short term.

A time honored emotional quick release help is the use of a positive thought attached to a physical key. See below;

Sit quietly- go back in your mind to a pleasurable emotional event- play the picture story through your mind, with the sounds, and the smells.Take your writing hand and touch your 2nd finger to the other hand's thumbnail or the like-the idea is to use your dominant side crossing your whole body in a way that only you know.
Hold the pleasurable thoughts-replay the scene again- being aware of your breathing. Let go and come back into the 'real' world.
Do this three times a day for 7 consecutive days, take a day off, then repeat the cycle for another 2 weeks.
