Throughout recorded human history there are many many different ways of seeing the philosophy or ideal of good.
Every generation and culture throughout time has proposed their idea of good.
What indeed is your perception of it? Do take a week and write it down each night to distill it.
This one solid belief you may hold, can be the key to why you act in the way you do.
Sadly authorities and their servants have often used the bias they promote for their own life value increase, at your expense.
You must continuously quietly question the status quo - today's values may be in fact tomorrows wrongs.
Yesterdays wars were for what? Half or part truths? A power or negative empowerment issue likely.
If we look at the over reaction of many world leaders to threats to their standing- was it really all worth it. At the time it may have seemed it- not really though.
In fact who cares who is world's superpower- or the world's greatest religion. Only those that gain their importance (read taking in of an external value), from belonging to that group.
I have been there, and still have those challenges too.It seems to come from a cognitive dissonance by my internalization of culture wide influences.
You can become what you are around.
The key thoughts are that you are influenced by who or what you are around,and to take on the amended 'kaizen'* approach of continuous personal improvement- questioning your god/s, and their messengers.
